CNC Machinist:
CNC Machinist A
Under minimal supervision, operates, sets up, and determines tooling required for milling machines to produce pieceparts, and first piece prototypes and final assemblies. Inspects parts for accuracy per blueprint specifications. Creates tooling and fixtures when required. Assists other machinists.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receives blueprint specifications, and written instructions, determines tooling, sets-up, and operates machines according to instructions and specifications to produce pieceparts, and
first piece prototypes and final assemblies.

2. Operates equipment to produce parts and assemblies as assigned ensuring parts comply with specifications. Stops process if necessary to prevent failures, and informs supervisor of job
status as required.

3. Inspects parts produced to ensure compliance with specifications indicated on blueprint or other instructions, includes visual and measurement inspection using a variety of inspection instruments, and may include product testing, and verification from Engineering.

4. Creates tooling and fixtures as required to accommodate department and other manufacturing operations including CNC, Brazing, and testing areas.

5 Maintains machines and equipment used including cleaning equipment, replenishing machine coolant supply, and monitoring machine to detect preventative or other maintenance that may be required.

6. Performs other assembly and finishing work as assigned within the department or in other departments as workload determines, includes deburring, hardware. Performs rework on parts as required.

7. May assist other machinist as necessary to ensure parts are produced in compliance with design specifications.

8. Maintains a clean and safe work area and adheres to all safety and environmental regulations and requirements.

9. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:Vocational or trade school education or equivalent plus a minimum of 6 years of related experience. Ability to proficiently operate: CNC Milling Machines, Vertical & Horizontal
