Shipping and Receiving Clerk II:
Responsible for planning and coordinating all activities relating to the distribution of finished goods from the factory. Manages and supports the daily workload for company packers and generates shipping documentation for the Export and Compliance Specialist.
ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
? Plans, coordinates and supports the distribution of finished goods from dispatch by:
o Identifying on-time delivery requirements
o Customer delivery requirements
o Reporting on-time delivery outcomes
? Collects and closes completed orders from production;
? Generates packing lists and certification;
? Generates the shipping documentation for the Export and Compliance Specialist;
? Supports distribution activities such as packing and forklift requirements.
? Deputises for the Production Supervisor when absent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
? Limited supervisory experience advantageous.
? Experience with a computerised dispatch records system will be an advantage.
? Previous shipping experience is advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills:
? Qualified forklift driver advantageous.
? PC computer familiarity;
? Demonstrated effective communication skills: written oral and inter-personal skills;
? Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handling frequent interruptions and shifting priorities;
? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
? Be organised and efficient;
? Ability to communicate fluently in English;
? Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline traits;
? Have a positive and flexible attitude.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The environmental conditions of this job include; working near moving mechanical parts, caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles with moderate noise levels.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good level of fitness is required. This position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling. There is often lifting/carrying of materials. Average vision and hearing is sufficient.
Temp to Hire Pay is 14 to 15 an hour. Schedule is 8 to 5 Monday through Friday.
